Stephanie celebrated Jodie's and Bianca's birthday at their lovely parties, she passed Level 3 in Core ice skating lessons, and the kids celebrated International Cultural Day at their school by dressing up and bringing in Swedish meatballs (Stephanie went Hawaiian, Sebastian went Swedish).

We were so excited to go back to Sweden. We LOVE everything about the trip: the flights (the kids are easy on the planes now), the country, and of course our family!
It was exceptionally green this year, the weather varied between 8C-26C days (and cool nights). The kids were excellent and trying new foods, and so happy to reunite with friends and family. Being older this year, they were much easier to take care of, and we didn't need to worry so much with them 'walking off' by themselves as they did previously. They tried to talk Swedish, and Stephanie surprised us at how much she ate! For 3 weeks she ate like a horse, she was so so hungry all the time. A huge growth spurt whilst we were away.

Stockholm
For the first time since the kids were born (actually since Stephie was 3 mths), mum left the kids with grandparents - and had a mini holiday without them for 3 days! Many thanks farmor and Thord in Sveg, we know you were exhausted by the end of the weekend!!!
Mum drove to 5 hours to Stockholm, and spent Friday night with lovely Maria. We had pizza at the castle gardens, and just had a beautiful time together. Soul Sisters xxx

Marcus and Asa's Wedding
Early Saturday morning, Jane went to pick up Fred from the airport (he came 2 weeks after us to Sweden), to get ready - and go to the wedding. What a beautiful wedding! On the most gorgeous day of all of our holiday, with no clouds in the sky, we were guests at a joyful garden wedding by the archipelago south of Stockholm.
Marcus and Asa were stunningly happy, as were their two beautiful daughters. It was a reunion with many old friends from university days as well.
The two priests were both cousins of Marcus and Asa, and the blonde priest was married with a gorgeous girl. |
